Small Scanning Spot
The high-speed scanning mechanism incorporated into the ALLEGRETTO WAVE Excimer Laser allows for the laser to deliver 200 laser pulses per second and to achieve even distribution of laser energy over the treatment zone on the cornea.

Active Eye Tracking System
The allegretto’s active eye tracking technology allows precise real-time tracking of the laser beam, ensuring accurate placement of each pulse, even in the presence of saccadic eye movements. The three infrared illumination sources allow independent position tracking of the iris 250 times per second, ensuring accurate placement of each pulse and correct centering of the treatment on the patient’s cornea.

The ALLEGRETTO WAVE Excimer Laser produces true optical zones that can be verifiably measured with a topographer. The ALLEGRETTO WAVE Excimer Laser can produce optical zones from 6mm to 8mm with a very small transition zone. The ALLEGRETTO WAVE Excimer Laser conserves tissue while producing large, round and effective optical zones, while reducing or eliminating the possibility of night vision problems.

The ALLEGRETTO WAVE Excimer Laser is a software driven flexible system. The laser does not rely on masks, lenses or diaphragms to size and scan the treatment beam. The software driven system allows for data input from a variety of sources and wavefront aberrometers to optimize the treatment options.
The Plume Evacuator enables clear and clean operating, reduces unpleasant odors and the risk of infections, and is specifically designed to have a draft-free airflow to ensure precise treatment results.
