projects over the past year!
Vision for Vets
Our Vision for Veterans, in partnership with the Buffalo Bills, identifies one local veteran in need of vision correction surgery, like LASIK or EVO ICL, and Atwal Eye Care provides the care – free of charge!
The 2023 winner of ‘Vision for Vets’ was Katherine Witter of the U.S. Air Force Reserve!

Providing Children the Gift of Sight
In partnership with Von’s Vision Foundation, Von Miller and the Buffalo Bills, local kids in need receive free eye exams and two stylish pairs of eyeglasses from the Etnia Barcelona Foundation. Each year, hundreds of kids walk through Atwal Eye Care through this partnership and are exposed to the importance of quality eye care. This initiative runs year-round as Atwal Eye Care works with dozens of local organizations to support youth in need.
Community Joy & Unforgettable Experiences
From a special wish-come-true with award-winning singer, Jelly Roll to Buffalo Bills and concert tickets, as well as an unforgettable makeover day for teen girls fighting cancer, Atwal Eye Care loves to gift experiences to families in need of some joy! ConnectLife Blood Donations
ConnectLife is a critical service to WNY with its blood and organ tissue donations. Dr. Ephraim Atwal is personally involved as the Medical Director of Eye & Tissue Services. Together, we can make a lifesaving difference by choosing to donate blood and donate life. Atwal Eye Care proudly stands behind ConnectLife in their critical mission by hosting regular blood drives at our multiple office locations.

Nonprofit Sponsorship and Support
Atwal Eye Care proudly supports:
- Evan Wood Foundation through Eric Wood
- The WNY Kidney Foundation
- ‘Shine Gold’ through Hope Rises

It is important for Atwal Eye Care to link arms with our charity partners and commit to financial support for each organization listed.
Connecting with the Community Through Influencer Marketing
Our partnerships with the Buffalo Bills, family and lifestyle blogger – Lindsay Riggs, Chef Darian and Jessica Bryan, and many more help us to connect to the community to offer incredible opportunities and even FREE giveaways in our community! Advocacy Work on Capitol Hill
Atwal Eye Care is committed to attending the Alliance of Specialty Medicine ‘Advocacy Fly In’, each year, on Capitol Hill. This gives us an opportunity to join with other eye care physician and administrators to engage with legislators regarding the challenges each practice faces.
In 2023, the primary emphasis was on Prior Authorization Reform, with an increase in the use of prior authorization across all medical services and treatments. This can delay patients’ access to essential medical care and imposes unnecessary burdens on specialty providers.
We also discussed important topics, like Drug Step Therapy and the Resident Reduction Act.
