Q & A with Dr. Karen Schoene:
What motivated you to get into a career, like eye care?
I enjoy meeting new patients, getting to talk and know them. It is my goal to give all of my patients a thorough eye exam, as well as excellent eye care. Working in a group like Atwal Eye Care makes my job easier and also more efficient. I am able to focus on the medical side, and it eliminates much of the paperwork and administrative work of a solo practice. I am also able to refer patients, who need eye surgery to Dr. Atwal and the other professionals at the surgery center in Cheektowaga.
For someone who is lacking direction or motivation because they don’t feel ‘good enough’, what advice would you offer them?
Anyone who thinks that they are not good enough should approach it with courage, motivation, perseverance and remain focused. You can and will achieve your goals!
