Vision For Veterans – Honoring A Hero

Meet the inspiration behind our 2023 Vision for Veterans recipient – Katherine Witter.

Katherine Witter of Western New York joined the military with a desire to be part of something bigger than herself. Growing up, she says she was deeply influenced by her mother’s 30-year military career and her unwavering devotion to service.

“So many of my cherished childhood memories are intricately woven with these experiences, and the remarkable individuals my mom served alongside,” says Witter.

Katherine was commissioned more than five years ago in military medical service. In her civilian life, Katherine is a physician assistant for United Health Care and carries out a true commitment to quality healthcare.

Atwal Eye Care is proud to honor Katherine with donated EVO ICL surgery – an implantable contact lens that eliminates the need for glasses or contacts for a lifetime. Katherine was selected to receive this vision correction procedure as part of the Vision for Veterans campaign with The Buffalo Bills. She was so proudly nominated by her brother.

We asked Katherine about her passion for serving.

“The military has given me so much more than I could ever give back. I have a profound respect for the incredible men and women in the United States military.”

Katherine added, “As a new mom, wearing contacts became even more difficult with many sleepless nights and I felt like my old glasses were cumbersome. I am so excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to experience a lifetime of joy and seeing clearly!”

Congratulations to Katherine! Atwal Eye Care thanks her for her sacrifice and service.
